Cooling fans achieve temperature control through forced ventilation or heat exchange to ensure stable system operation. They are mainly used in the following key areas:

1. Rotary kiln body cooling
Cooling fans are used to lower the kiln surface temperature and prevent refractory failure due to high temperatures (e.g., red kiln phenomenon). They are typically located in high-temperature areas such as the tyres and rollers, maintaining the kiln temperature at ≤400°C through air cooling.

2. Secondary combustion chamber flue gas cooling
After passing through the waste heat boiler, the high-temperature flue gas (900-1100°C) still needs to be further cooled to 200-240°C. The cooling fan is combined with a quench tower or dry cooler to achieve rapid cooling to prevent dioxin resynthesis.

3. Transmission system heat dissipation
Support roller bearings: Forced air cooling reduces bearing temperature (normal temperature rise ≤ 35°C) and prevents carbonisation of lubricating oil.

Reducer: Dissipate heat through cooling coils or external fans to maintain the gear oil temperature below 60°C.

4. Exhaust gas treatment system
The flue gas needs to be cooled to 120-150℃ at the inlet of the bag filter. The cooling fan achieves this through air-flue gas heat exchange, while preventing the filter bags from being damaged by high temperatures.
